Dhar, MP, Jan 29 (UNI) Samples of 175 tonnes of flesh, seized in this district on January 27 and suspected of being beef, were today sent to a laboratory in Gandhinagar for analysis.
Police said that 12 containers carrying the flesh were seized following a protest by some Hindu organisations' workers. Local veterinarians analysed the flesh but were unsure whether it was beef.
The flesh was being conveyed illegally from Uttar Pradesh's Sahibabad to Mumbai. Chaos prevailed for about half an hour after the seizing. Hindu outfits' members had reached the police station.
