Dabwali, Sirsa, Jan 29 (UNI) To check inter-state criminal activities in the border areas of Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana, the police department of these states would form a joint coordination cell.
The decision was taken here today in the second meeting of district police chiefs and Range officers of ten border districts of the three states.
The cell which will be set up here will keep the district police chiefs informed about the crimes occuring in the border areas of the three states.
In the meeting, the district police chiefs discussed the ways and means to curb the smuggling of narcotics paricularly poppy husk in the border areas. They also shared the list of absconded criminals of their respective districts.
The meeting, which was presided over by Hisar range Inspector General Anant Kumar, was attended by Patiala Range IG CSR Reddy, Faridkot DIG Jitender Jain and SSP Laxmi Kant Yadav, Mansa SSP MM Farooki, Bathinda SSP Naunihaal Singh, Sirsa SP Vikash Arora, Fatehabad SP Saurabh Singh, Ganganagar (Rajasthan) SP Jarnail Singh and Hanumangarh SP Raghvender Singh.
