Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Jan 29 (UNI) The police today found the mutilated body of an unidentified 40-year-old man from the baggage compartment of a private bus here.
According to the police sources, two unidentified persons had boarded the Aurangabad bound bus at Pune in the wee hours of today and had placed their belongings, including a bundle and suitcase, in the baggage compartment of the bus. However, they climbed down at Ahmednagar, when the bus took a temporary halt there, and disappeared.
The bus driver, Rafik Khan, proceeded towards the city after waiting for about an hour for the two passengers. After reaching here, he informed about them to the police, who searched the suspicious baggage and recovered the mutilated body.
The city police have registered an offence and referred the case to the Shivajinagar Police in Pune for further investigations.
