MP gets some respite from chilling cold
Bhopal, Jan 29 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh denizens experienced some respite from severe cold wave conditions with night temperature rising slightly.
According to Regional Meteorological Department, a rise of 3-5 degree Celsius in night temperature was recorded with clouds enveloping the sky. A very slight increase in day temperature was also recorded.
Mercury rose from 4.2 C to 9 degrees in citadel town Gwalior.
Similarly, mercury climbed in Bhopal, Indore and Jabalpur where day temperature of about 25 degrees was recorded.
Khandwa was the coldest place in the state recording a temperature of five degrees. Cold wave was experienced in Indore division.
Showers accompanied with lightning occurred in some places in Gwalior division.
Showers accompanied with lightning are likely at Rewa, Sagar, Gwalior, Jabalpur and Bhopal divisions in the next 24 hours. A partly cloudy day is expected in the state capital.
