IndiGo introduces 6 flights, starts service to Ahmedabad
New Delhi, Jan 29 (UNI) IndiGo airline today introduced six new flights and added Ahmedabad as its 17th destination.
The low-fare airline, which increased its fleet to 16 with a new Airbus A320 aircraft, will now connect Ahmedabad to Kolkata with a daily non-stop flight in both directions.
In addition, IndiGo will connect Bhubaneshwar to Kolkata and Mumbai with daily non-stop flights to both cities, in both directions.
Passengers will also be able to fly between Mumbai and Kolkata with a same-aircraft connection, stopping in Bhubaneshwar.
With the launch of the new services, IndiGo will be operating 112 daily flights connecting 17 destinations.
''The new services will provide our customers greater flexibility in organising their travel and further help us in strengthening our route network,'' IndiGo President Bruce Ashby said in a press release.
IndiGo plans to serve 30 Indian cities by 2010, with a fleet of 40 A320s.
