Chandigarh, Jan 29 (UNI) Under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM), Haryana Urban Local Bodies Department has prepared the City Development Plan of Faridabad Town costing over Rs 2,679 crore for infrastructural development.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of the department said as many as seven Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) amounting to about Rs 1,204 crore had been submitted to the Union government for various development works for approval and release of funds.
He said the Union government had sanctioned five DPRs costing over Rs 275 crore while two DPRs of over Rs 281 crore were in the pipeline for approval.
In all, 3248 living units were to be constructed as per approved DPRs under JNNURM. In addition, two more DPRs of about Rs 150 crore were ready for submission to the Union government, the spokesman said.
He said Panchkula town had also been included in the JNNURM and the work of preparation of City Development Plan of Panchkula had also been allotted under JNNURM.
The spokesman said under Urban Infrastructure Development Schemes for Small and Medium Towns (UIDSSMT), the state government had recommended four DPRs of about Rs 101 crore to Union Ministry of Urban Development.
The works of sewerage system and treatment plants at Bahadurgarh and Solid Waste Management Schemes of Rohtak, Yamunanagar-Jagadhari and Karnal towns were included in these DPRs, he added.
He said DPRs for 12 towns costing about Rs 239 crore had been prepared under Integrated Housing and Slum Development Programme (IHSDP) which had been submitted to Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation. All these DPRs had been approved and about Rs 92 crore had been released so far, he added.
