BJP-RSS unleashing terror in Kannur: Minister
Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 29 (UNI) Kerala Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan today accused the BJP/RSS of unleashing terror in Kannur and said strict instructions have been given to take action against those indulging in violence activities.
The BJP-RSS wanted to deestablish the law and order in Kannur, he told newspersons here and appealed to all political parties to restore peace in the region.
As part of restoring peace, Kochi City Police Commissioner Manoj Abraham had been given charge as Kannur Superintendent.
Pointing out that four CPI (M) men have been killed in the last three months, Mr Balakrishnan said all the attacks were concentrated in some pockets only and not widespread. '' The BJP/RSS is trying to create tiny Gujarats in the State,'' he said.
When asked about convening an all-party meet on the Kannur issue, he said such meetings in the past had not yielded any result. ''If such atmosphere prevails, then it could be thought of,'' he said.
