SBI's Q3 profit rises by 70 pc

Bank
of
India
has
posted
a
net
profit
of
Rs
1808.64
crore
for
the
third
quarter
ended
December
31,
2007.
Compared
to
Rs
1065.06
crore
in
the
same
period
in
2006,
the
profits
show
a
70%
growth.
The interest on loans, trading profits and commissions helped the bank post a better performance. SBI's total income rose from Rs 11,268.38 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006 to Rs 15364 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2007.
