Top Maoist leader not in police custody: Reddy
Hyderabad, Jan 28 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Home Minister K Jana Reddy today said the State CPI (Maoist) Secretary Sambashivudu was not in police custody.
Speaking to newspersons here, Mr Reddy said the police did not arrest the Naxal leader as his parents and relatives were claiming.
The District police have been alerted, and they are conducting searches for the top Maoist leader.
Stating that there might be some 'strategy' behind the rumours of Sambashivudu's arrest, he said the police were also investigating the role of 'Blue Tigers', who claimed that they had picked up Sambashivudu and two others from the agency area in Vizianagaram recently.
