Rains, snow likely at Uttarakhand, HP, J

Pune, Jan 28: Rains or snow are likely to occur at isolated places in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya and at isolated places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, west Uttar Pradesh and coastal Tamil Nadu.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Punjab, east Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, interior Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala.

Severe cold wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Haryana and Madhya Maharashtra. Cold wave conditions prevailed in Jharkhand, west Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, Vidarbha, and in some parts of interior Orissa, east Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Marathwada, in remaining parts of Haryana and Madhya Maharashtra and at isolated places in Telangana and north interior Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and at isolated places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim and Orissa.

Mainly dry weather prevailed in Jharkhand and Bihar.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in coastal Orissa, Konkan, Goa, Rayalaseema and in remaining parts of east Uttar Pradesh, and were below normal in Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan and coastal Karnataka.

They were appreciably above normal in Tamil Nadu and in some parts of Assam, Manipur and coastal Andhra Pradesh. They were normal over the rest of the country.
