Kohima experienced coldest day of season
Kohima, Jan 28 (UNI) Kohima town, situated at an altitude of 1,444.12 meters above the sea level, has experienced the season's coldest day yesterday when the mercury came down to 1.8 degree Celsius.
The entire day people of this capital town could not see the sun and windy day brought the temperature down. The mountain caps of Puliebadze range, surrounding Kohima town are covered with snow since Friday last. People after the Sunday Church service, left for home and preferred to remained indoor due cold wave.
All the streams of Puliebadze range have frozen resulting in severe scarcity of water in Kohima town.
Kohima Municipal Council has arranged tankers to supply water in several colonies under its jurisdiction.
