Four arrested for looting businessman in Jammu
Jammu, Jan 28 (UNI) Police today arrested four people in a roberry case earlier in tehsil Akhnoor, official sources today said.
Police said a gang of boys looted a businessman from Akhnoor on the intervening night of January 24-25.
''A group of five miscreants, on January 24, stopped one Lala Shambhu Nath and his domestic servant Yash Pal and thrashed them and fled away after looting an amount of Rs 20,000,'' Superintendent of Police Rural Shakti Pathak told UNI.
However, on specific information, police today conducted surprise raids in the area and arrested four people while two others were absconding, Mr Pathak said.
The accused have been identified as kingpin Amit Sharma alias don, Sunil Kumar, Dinesh Kumar, Ankush (arrested), Sanjay Barwala and Billu (absconding), all residents of Akhnoor. All of them were booked under section 392 rpc.
