Five killed, four injured in road accidents in HP
Shimla, Jan 28 (UNI) At least five people were killed and four injured in two separate road accidents in various parts of Himachal Pradesh during the last 24 hrs, the police said today.
Three members of family were killed and one injured after their car fell into a gorge near Fagu, about 23 km from here, last evening.
The police said while three members of the family identified as Var Chand, Mela Ram and Ramanand, were killed on the spot, Vipin Kumar, was injured in the accident.
The cause of the accident was, however, not immediately known, it added.
In another accident two people were killed and three injured after their truck veered off the road and fell into a gorge at Rantpur on the Jhakhri-Juri road today.
The police said all the three injured in the accident have been admitted to a government hospital at Jhakhri and added that all the dead and the injured were yet to be identified.
The vehicle fell into the gorge due to ice on the road, it said, adding a case have been registered and investigations were on.
