Damodaram ducks questions on his re-appointment
New Delhi, Jan 28 (UNI) Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Chairman M Damodaram today ducked all questions as to whether he will be the bidder for the post for an another term.
''I am not a job seeker. I don't go out and look for jobs,'' Mr Damodaram said on being asked whether he was seeking another term after he completes his tenure next month.
Reports have appeared stating that Mr Damodaram was among half a dozen contendants for the post of SEBI Chairmanship.
When asked whether he was interested in the post, Mr Damodaram said, ''am I interested? What does that mean? Nobody appoints himself.'' The SEBI Chief was asked whether he would accept the job if he was offered.
