Five persons injured in clash between two communities
Gulbarga, Jan 27 (UNI) Five persons were injured in a clash between people belonging to two different communities at Wadi town in the district last night.
Police today said that altercation took place between some people, belonging to two different communities at a ration shop while getting kerosene oil.
A group of people belonging to a particular community attacked the other community people, who were Dalits.
Among the five who were injured, two were taken to hpospital. All the injured were said to be out of danger.
Mild tension prevailed for some time in the area as some people pelted stones on some shops.
Meanwhile, the police convened a peace meeting in which elders of both communities participated. No arrest had been made so far in connection with the clash, the police said.
