Thane, Jan 26 (UNI) The Thane District Civil Hospital has chalked up a major expansion plan.
Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik, meanwhile, inaugurated the dialysis and laparoscopic facility in the premises of the hospital today.
Thane MLA Eknath Shinde, who inspected the hospital today, told UNI that the hospital would soon be converted into a super speciality hospital providing affordable treatment to the common man and the tribals.
The hospital will, within six months, have a new building which will house the psychiatric ward and medical stores.
Besides, it will have the MRI centre and the Cathlab.
Mr Shinde has advised the hospital authorities to send him a proposal regarding the staffing in the hospital so that he could take up the matter at the appropriate forum and push for funding by the Health Ministry.
