Moscow, Jan 26 (UNI) Russian nuclear power equipment and service export monopoly, Atomstroiexport, today confirmed the delivery of the seventh shipment of nuclear fuel to Iranian Bushehr nuclear power plant.
''Another delivery of fuel has been completed,'' Atomstroiexport press secretary Irina Yesipova told Interfax news agency.
Nuclear fuel deliveries to the Bushehr nuclear power plant, being built with Russian assistance, started in mid-December, 2007 and are to be completed by February this year.
A total of eight shipments of fuel are to be supplied to the plant.
The first Iranian nuclear power plant, being built by Atomstroiexport, is to operate a 1,000-MW VVER reactor.
In line with an agreement between Russia and Iran, all spent nuclear fuel from Bushehr will be returned to Russia.
