Kolhapur, Jan 26 (UNI) The Kolhapur district administration has chalked out a Rs 192 crore plan for supplying water to rural areas in the area, said Maharashtra Marketing Minister Harshwardhan Patil today.
This was stated by Mr Patil, who is also District Guardian Minister, at a meeting held at the Zilla Parishad office here and pointed out that the elected members should submit their any suggestions within eight days before forwarding it for approval.
Various water supply schemes were being implemented under the district 'Bharat Nirman' schemes like 'Swajaldhara' and Jalswarajya', considering the possible water shortage in future, he said.
He added that of the Rs 192 crore proposed plan, Rs 117 crore have been marked to implement water schemes under 'Bharat Nirman' programme in the district, while another Rs 68 crore for 'Swajaldhara' and the remaining Rs seven crore for other works.
