Mumbai, Jan 26: The four-day IAAPI Trade Show, hosted by the Indian Association of Amusement Parks and Industries, will be held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre here from February 14.
The event is being held for the eighth year in succession. It will be inaugurated by International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) chairman Bob Masterson. There will be 142 stalls and the trade show has evoked participation from more than 50 exhibitors from various countries like the US, the UK, Argentina, Belgium, Canada, China, Dubai, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand and others.
Over 2000 operators, manufacturers, importers, traders, suppliers, distributors and other related industries from the amusement, leisure, entertainment and allied industries would come together at the trade show, IAAPI president V G P Ravidas told reporters here yesterday.
IAAPI managing committee member S K Bhatia informed that the Indian amusement park industry was around Rs 4,000 crore and estimated to grow by six per cent per annum till 2010.
Over 150 amusement parks, water parks and snow parks are in operation attracting footfalls to the tune of 50 million visitors annually. The industry employs five lakh people, he added.
