Rewari, Jan 26 (UNI) On the occasion of the 59th Republic Day function Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda felicitated the national and international level players of the state who had brought laurels to the state and the country.
The Chief Minister gave out cash prizes to the players. Cricketer Joginder Sharma was given Rs 21 lakh as prize money for his outstanding performance in the Twenty-20 World Cup, while hockey player Sardara Singh got Rs 10 lakh for his brilliant performance in the Asia Cup.
Others who were honoured with Rs one lakh each were Subhita Dhaka (Kabbadi) and Capt Dharamjot (mountaineering).
On the occasion Mr Hooda also honoured 12 other players of the state for their outstanding performances in various disciplines.
