Gurgaon kidney racket kingpin also wanted in Jaipur
Jaipur, Jan 26 (UNI) Gurgaon Kidney racket kingpin, Dr Amit Kumar alias Santosh Rawat, was also wanted in connection with a kidney racket unearthed by the Jaipur police about 12 years ago.
The Sodala police had arrested two doctors and a nurse from the Shyam Nagar area in the city on Nov 18, 1995 on a complaint of a resident of Hyderabad. He, in his complaint had said that the doctors had brought him to Jaipur on the promise of giving him a job and removed one of his kidneys. The police raided a Shyam Nagar residence and arrested Dr Vasant Fofalia, Dr Suresh Gupta and a nurse named Seema Saiyd while two accused, Jeewan Dada and Dr Amit Kumar alias Santosh, were still at large.
A lower court here had convicted Dr Vasant Fofalia, Dr Suresh Gupta and the nurse to seven years imprisonment recently.
