Tiruchirapalli, Jan 26 (UNI) Former AIADMK Minister and State Secrtetary of the "Jayalalithaa Peravai" Thalavai Sundaram today charged that "with the blessings of the ruling DMK", ration rice meant for the poor was being smuggled to neighbouring Kerala state.
Addressing members of the Tiruchirapalli rural district "Jayalalithaa Peravai" here , he alleged that as its own partymen indulged in such illegal trade, the state government was not in a position to check the smuggling.
He also charged that DMK President and Chief Minister M Karunanidhi had failed to take care of the interests of the people of Tamil Nadu.
He charged that the DMK Government had completed about two years, in office, but it had not done anything for the people.
Instead, it had forced the people to depend on the government's free bees.
