41500 job cards provided in south Kashmir
Srinagar, Jan 26 (UNI) As many as 359 works have been taken up for execution under National Rural Employment Guarantee Programme (NREGP) in Anantnag and Kulgam districts of south Kashmir.
This was stated at a meeting of Rural Development officers held at Anantnag last evening.
While reviewing the implementation of NREGP, it was told that 41500 job cards have been issued till date and an expenditure of Rs 60 lakh booked, generating 40,000 mandays in the twin districts.
More than 1700 works have been completed with an expenditure of Rs 3.76 crore under Indira Awas Yojna (IAY) so far during the current financial year.
Under SGRY, 228 works have been completed with an expenditure of Rs 85.74 lakh during the period.
