Mysore, Jan 25: Former Karnataka Minister and senior Congress leader H Vishwanath today strongly denied his joining Janata Dal (Secular).
Terming the reports appearing in a section of the press as false, Mr Vishwanath told newsmen that "there was no truth in it and it was creation of the media. I am a loyal member of the Congress since last four decades and there is no necessity for me to join any other party." Referring to possibility of allotting K R Nagara (his home constituency) ticket to another candidate, Mr Vishwanath said that the issue of tickets was decided by the High Command and it is not like lottery tickets. "One should not speculate on his contesting the elections, the Congress party has an history of more than 100 years and the people would join the party and leave it." Mr Vishwanath confirmed Former Home Minister and rebal JD(S) leader M P Prakash and his followers joining Congress shortly.
