Lucknow, Jan 25 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Governor T V Rajeswar and Chief Minister Mayawati today greeted people of the state on the eve of Republic Day.
In a message, Mr Rajeswar conveyed his best wishes to people for peace and prosperity. He also paid tributes to the great sons of India, who sacrificed their lives for making India free and democratic.
The Governor further noted that the terrorist activities, both in the country and the state, was a great challenge, therefore internal security of the country was the top most priority.
While, Ms Mayawati appealed to people of all the castes and religion to be together and maintain peace. Republic Day is a day when martyrs and great leaders should be remembered.
''We must also see how much we have followed our Constitution,'' the CM added in a message.
