Security stepped up in MP ahead of R-Day
Bhopal, Jan 25 (UNI) Tight security arrangements have been made across Madhya Pradesh ahead of the Republic Day tomorrow.
''Security is bar-taut around the Mantralaya, Assembly, other important buildings and places of worship,'' a Police Headquarters spokesman told UNI. Alert was being exercised in districts of sensitive Malwa region where additional platoons of the Special Armed Force and Rapid Action Force have been stationed.
Crowded places, railway stations and bus stands were under priority surveillance. Owners of hotels and lodges were directed to take complete details from outsiders. Public telephone booth managers were told to maintain a record of international calls. A heightened vigil was being maintained at the state's borders.
