Sirsa, Jan 25 (UNI) Haryana Janhit Congress (BL) president and MP Kuldip Bishnoi today said here that names of the party's state unit's district presidents will be announced by February 1.
Talking to mediapersons here, Mr Bishnoi lashed out at the Hooda government for encouraging the entry of big industrialist houses into retail business, saying it had hit the interests of small traders involved in the sector.
He demanded that the government announce a rehabilitation policy for small traders by February 15 or otherwise the party would be compelled to launch a state-wide agitation.
He said before handing over the sectors managed by small players and commonman the government must chalk out a rehabilitation plan or otherwise the gap between the have and have-nots would widen, which could later affect the social fabric of the nation.
Mr Bishnoi demanded a relief package of Rs 10,000 per acre for the farmers, suspension of loan recovery and waiver of interest to compensate for the crop loss caused by the ground frost.
To protest against the power shortage in the state, the HJC will organise a candle and lantern procession in all the assembly consituencies on the evening of January 31, he said.
