Coldwave continues in Punjab

Despite
rise
in
the
night
temperatures
in
Punjab
there
was
no
let
up
in
the
cold
wave,
with
Amritsar
still
recording
sub
zero
temperatures.
The Holy City of Amritsar was cold at minus one degrees Celsius, up by one degrees C from yesterday.
The minimum at Adampur which had recorded sub zero temperatures for the last four to five days, also rose at 1.0 degrees C.
The minimum at the Indian Air Force base at Halwara rose to 3.4 degrees C. There was also rise in temperatures in the Malwa belt with Bhatinda recording 1.6 degrees C.
The minimum temperatures in border town of Pathankot was 3 degrees C.
The Met office at Adampur has perdicted an overcast sky with light to moderate rain in Punjab in the next 24 hours.
