Vodafone's classic comedy film fest in Ahmedabad from tomorrow

Ahmedabad, Jan 24 (UNI) Cellular service provider Vodafone is holding a four-day Vodafone Classic Comedy Film Festival here from tomorrow.

Vodafone has been hosting the Classic Film Festival since 2004 under the brand name Hutch. The festival is hosted by renowned film and theatre personality Farooque Shaikh.

The four-day festival will showcase five timeless comedies -- ''Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro'', ''Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi'', ''Padosan'', ''Bawarchi'' and ''Gol Maal''.

Vodafone Essar Gujarat chief operating officer Balesh Sharma said, ''Films are more than just entertainment for most Indians.

They are a reflection of our society and our passion. With the third Vodafone Classic Film Festival, we continue our pursuit to bring the best of yesteryears' celluloid to the audiences and rekindle the passion for classics among cinema enthusiasts in Gujarat.'' Farooque Shaikh said the Vodafone Classic Film Festival is a unique initiative by Vodafone to bring classics back to the big screen.

''I have been associated with the Festival since its inception and year after year the experience has only been more enriching.

This festival brings back fond memories through the work of the legends of Indian cinema,'' he said.
