Jammu, Jan 24 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was adjourned till January 28, following disturbance due to the unabated protest demonstration in the House by the opposition National Conference (NC) members today.
The proceedings commenced amid commotion and just after seven minutes, the first adjournment for an hour was announced by Speaker Tara Chand.
The NC MLAs were shouting anti-government slogans and demanding the dismissal of the 'tainted' ministers in the Kundal Committee report, which Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad had tabled in the House.
The NC members again created ruckus in the Assembly, throwing in pieces of the copies of the Kundal Committee report in the House and breaking the furniture.
They were agitating in the Assembly against the ''government's inaction'' on the Kundal Committee report, which had 'indicted' two ministers of the coalition regime of corruption.
The NC MLAs were vociferously accusing the coalition government of promoting corruption in the state.
Finding it difficult to function amidst the uproar, the Speaker announced adjournment of the Legislative Assembly till January 28.
