India, Mexico on avoidance of double taxation
New Delhi, Jan 24 (UNI) The Union Cabinet today gave ex-post facto approval for the signing of an agreement between India and Mexico for avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income.
The agreement will stimulate the flow of capital, technology and personnel from India and Mexico and back, Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi told reporters after the Cabinet meeting.
It will also provide tax stability and reduce any obstacles in mutual cooperation.
India has so far signed such bilateral treaties with 71 other countries.
