EPF Board recommends 8.5 per cent interest rate
New Delhi, Jan 24 (UNI) The Central Board of Trustees (EPF) has decided in favour of declaring an interest rate of 8.5 per cent as a sustainable rate.
The Board took a view on the matter at its meeting held here to consider the agenda for declaration of interest for the year 2007-08.
Some members reiterated their demand for declaration of a rate of 9.5 per cent.
However, The Board after considering all aspects decided to recommend to the Government an interest rate of 8.5 per cent.
