New York, Jan 24: The International Tennis Hall of Fame has announced that American player Michael Chang is one of three people selected to be enshrined in the Class of 2008.

Chang became the youngest French Open champion in history when he won 1989's second Grand Slam event at the age of 17 years, three months.
Sports agent Mark McCormack and Tennis Week magazine founder and publisher Gene Scott were the other two inductees announced Wednesday. They will both be enshrined posthumously in the contributor category during July 12th ceremonies at the Hall in Newport, Rhode Island.

The three men reached the required 75% approval in a vote by the selection committee. Since its establishment in 1954, the International Tennis Hall of Fame has honored 207 people from 18 countries.

During his 16-year career, Chang reached the world No. 2 ranking and spent seven years in the top 10. He won a total of 34 ATP titles and was the losing finalist in 24 other tournaments, including the 1995 French Open and 1996 U.S. and Australian Opens.
