Russia to present railway products in India

Moscow, Jan 23: Russian Railways Trading Company will present export potential of its railways complex in the administration of Indian railways at a four-day meet to be held in New Delhi from January 28.

''Russian Railways Trading Company will present up-to-date products, services and technologies for the railway industry of 15 Russian manufacturers,'' the company said. The Company would present safety and traffic control systems based on microprocessor technologies, airborne laser scanning of railway infrastructure, diagnostic equipment, track machines, rolling stock and permanent way elements.

Ahead of the presentation, there would be a meeting of Russian delegation with Indian business representatives. India had launched a programme of railway infrastructure development and at was showing profound interest in operation and traffic systems, as well as development in the area of track technology,'' it said.

Russian Railways have accumulated a serious experience in construction and modernisation of railways that can be offered to Indian Railways, it added.
