Paris, Jan 23 : Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf has said that his country would not stop further improving its nuclear capability on any international pressure.

Pakistan is the only nuclear power among the Muslim countries, said Musharraf while addressing a gathering of Pakistani community here.

He went on to say that the atomic missile programme of Pakistan was much better than many countries, a report in The news said.

Earlier, Musharraf has said that Pakistan's nuclear assets were in safe hands and there was a "zero percent chance" of the al-Qaeda getting hold of it.

"There is a zero percent chance of either one of them (nuclear weapons), they (weapons) cannot fall into any wrong hands," he said.

He also said that militants could gain access to the country's nuclear arsenal only if the al-Qaeda or the Taleban defeat the Pakistani army entirely or extremist religious groups win the February 18 elections.

"We don't think it is possible that this al-Qaeda or Taleban can take over in Pakistan. We cannot be defeated like this."
