Monk death case: Accused remanded in judicial custody
Mumbai, Jan 23 (UNI) A local court today remanded all the four people who have been arrested in connection with the mysterious death of a Buddhist monk here, in judicial custody till February 6.
The metropolitan magistrate's court here sent the four to judicial custody after the police informed the court that the custodial interrogation of the four had been completed.
The four include builder A Lakdawala, Dr Vivek Kolekar, Arun Kamble and Manohar Jadhav.
Police have registered a case against them for allegedly murdering 75-year-old Buddha Bhante Bhadhant Sanghraj who was found hanging from the ceiling of his residence here on January 6.
A complaint against the four was lodged by Nandbodhi Boddha.
The deceased, who was an executive member of the ''Boudh Vihar Committee'', is suspected to have had a dispute with the builder over a piece of land belonging to Boudh Vihar.
