Ranchi, Jan 23 (UNI) Indian Football team captain Baichung Bhutia today reiterated that the performance of the team had improved after the appointment of a foreign coach.
Mr Bhutia, who was here to promote the game, also called on Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda at his residence.
Talking to reporters after his brief meeting with Mr Koda, Mr Bhutia said the team had benefitted from the skills of coach Bob Houghton, but there was still a lot to be done for developing infrastructure required for the game.
Referring to the names of Dilip Tirkey and Mahendra Singh Dhoni, he aid the state had a glorious history of producing talented sportspersons.
Meanwhile, Mr Koda asserted that he was ''emotionally attached'' to the player and expressed his wish to take the latter's help in finding out ''god-gifted'' players in the rural areas of the state.
