New Delhi, Jan 23 (UNI) The Delhi Metro will partially curtail its services on January 26, on the occasion of Republic Day, a DMRC spokesman said today.
The services will also remain affected on January 29 for the Beating Retreat Ceremony, as per the advice of the Delhi Police.
On account of the parade, there will be no Metro service at Central Secretariat station of Line-2 till 1230 hrs. Similarly, there will be no Metro services at Mandi House, Pragati Maidan and Indraprastha stations of Line-3 till 1300 hrs. Normal services at these stations will start only from this time.
Thus, on January 26, Metro services on Line-2 will be available only from Vishwa Vidyalaya to Patel Chowk from 0600 hrs to 1230 hrs and on Line-3 from Dwarka Sector-9 to Barakhamba Road from 0600 hrs to 1300 hrs.
Services on Line-1 (Shahdara to Rithala) would be normal for the full day as usual.
On January 29, Metro services will not be available at Central Secretariat station of Line-2 only from 1530 hrs to 1830 hrs.
Thus, services on Line-2 will be available only between Vishwa Vidyalaya and Patel Chowk during this time. Services on Line-1 (Shahdara to Rithala) and Line-3 (Dwarka Sector-9 to Indraprastha) would operate normally.
In addition, all Metro parking lots will remain closed from 1900 hrs on January 25 to 1400 hrs on January 26 as advised by the Delhi Police for security reasons, he said.
