Borri to enter Indian market through Unitek
Bangalore, Jan 23 (UNI) Italy based leading UPS manufacturer, Borri will be entering into Indian market which offers over Rs 7,000 crore market and growing at 30 per cent.
Kerala based Unitek Power Systems Limited, a leading UPS and power Management company today entered into a tie-up with Borri to market and service its (Borri) products in India.
Unitek Managing Director John Zecherish announcing the tie-up with Borri told newsmen that Rs 50 crore would be invested within next three years and the company's turnover was expected to double within next two years from the present Rs 15 Crore.
He said that the Rs 500 Crore Borri manufactures high capacity UPS and aimed at highend customers including industries, Oil and Natural Gas Companies and Shipping. Shipping industry was expected to see a boon in 2008-09 with the Union government allowing expansion of almost all ports.
Replying to a question, he said that more manufacturing units may be opened to produce parts of UPS of Borri. Kerala government has already come forward to give suitable land. In Tamil Nadu also a manufacturing unit may be opened, he added.
