Two kiled in road accident in Kolhapur

Kolhapur, Jan 23: A brother and sister duo were killed on the spot when their motor-cycle was hit by a truck near Kerle on Kolhapur-Ratnagiri highway, about 12 km away from here today.

The deceased have been identified as Vijay Jagannath Patil (23) from Bhadle village and his cousin Sujata Vilas Thorat (21) from Sarud, police said.

Vijay and Sujata were on their way to Kolhapur on a newly-purchased motor-cycle. The motor-cycle collided head on with the truck and both were killed on the spot, police said. The truck driver absconded, leaving truck behind.
