Lucknow, Jan 22 (UNI) Terrorists lodged in a single barrack of the district jail would soon be separated, police said today.
A meeting chaired by Additional Director General of Police (Crime/Law and Order and STF) Brijlal decided that 26 terrorists lodged in the jail would be kept in separate barracks as a precautionary measure.
''We were told that the CCTV and cameras installed in the jail were not working properly...it was decided to get them either repaired or changed,'' Mr Brijlal said here.
The jail would also be provided with additional lighting to further strengthen the security.
On October 24, 2007, Noorbaksh alias Noora -- a close aide of Dawood Ibrahim -- was shot dead by the Special Task Force of the UP police outside the Lucknow jail while trying to escape from police custody when he was being taken for a court appearance.
