Nand Chaturvedi gets top Hindi Sahitya Sammelan honour
New Delhi, Jan 22 (UNI) Noted poet and litterateur Nand Chaturvedi has been chosen for this year's 'Sahitya Vachaspati'--the top literary honour of the Prayag Hindi Sahitya Sammelan.' General Secretary of the Sammelan Vibhuti Misra said the award would be conferred on Mr Chaturvedi in Jaipur at its three-day function beginning on March 14.
Octogenerian Mr Chaturvedi is known for his collections of poems like 'Yeh Samai Mamuli Nahin', 'Utsav Ka Nirmam Samai', 'Woh Soye To Nahin Honge', and 'Imandar Dunya Ke Liye', and for his collection of essays 'Shabd Sansar ki Yayavari'.
He has earlier been honoured with the Mira Puruskar, the highest literary honour of the Rajasthan Government, Bihari Purskar of KK Birla Foundation and Lok Mangal Puruskar of Mumbai.
