Adelaide, Jan 22 (UNI) The success of their seamers at Perth might prompt Team India to pick five specialist bowlers for the fourth Test at Adelaide, Australian opener Phil Jaques said.
''Their attack did so well, they all bowled very well, all their quicks, so it will be a tough call to leave them out,'' Jaques said.
''It's a distinct possibility (Irfan) Pathan batted very well over there so they might go down that avenue or as they did in Sydney, two spinners and two quicks,'' he added saying Harbhajan Singh might be included considering the spin friendly track at the Adelaide Oval.
The 28-year-old also stated that there was a big question mark on whether Shaun Tait will play in his home ground here after his disappointing show at Perth.
''Obviously Taity would love to play the home test here that's for sure, we all love our home test matches,'' he said.''But Punter will have a look at the wicket I suppose and make his decision on that usually we do play spinners here, it is one of those wickets that it does spin.'' ''Personally I think Hogg might play.'' Jaques was disappointed with the Australian batting which according him, did not perform at its best.
''I think if we are honest we didn't play the way we can play...
we'd be disappointed to be knocked over again I suppose,'' he said.
''Our top order will be looking at firing and I'm sure we'll have a better effort.'' He said the Aussies were eager to win at Adelaide and win the series.
''We'll obviously be looking at winning this test match and really ramming home that series win,'' he said.
''To draw the series would be disappointing, we really want to be winning series and winning games of cricket as much as possible.'' UNI XC AB CS RK2026
