Fill up vacant posts, hike salary: EPF Union

(EPF)
Staff
Union
has
urged
the
Union
government
to
fill
up
the
existing
vacant
posts
and
increase
the
pay
scales
on
a
par
with
Organised
Accounts
Department
with
retrospective
effect
from
1996.
EPF Staff Federation vice-president C Rajan, informing this to newspersons here yesterday, said the EPF Staff Union, affiliated to All-India EPF Staff Federation, in its charter of demands to Union Labour Ministry has sought basic salary hike for employees in various grades.
He said the union would resort to a strike during lunch hour as a token of protest if their demands were not met by January 31.
