Hyderabad, Jan 21 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today directed the Tourism Department officials to formulate necessary plans for developing tourism projects priority wise, at all the irrigation project sites, taken up under Jalayagnam.
The Irrigation Department would complete connecting roads at the project sites and thus tourism would get a boost in the State, he added.
Reviewing some special projects pertaining to Tourism Department, with the Tourism Minister A Ramanarayana Reddy and other senior officials here, Dr Reddy said the Gandikota project would be handed over to the selected developer by March end for development. The Centre had released Rs 4.50 crore to formulate concrete proposals in tourist sector, he added.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to review with the Collectors of Guntur and Nalgonda districts the issue on acquisition of necessary lands for developing tourism project at Nagarjuna Sagar, an official release said.
