New Delhi, Jan 21 (UNI) Police have busted a gang of auto-lifters operating across various states, and recovered seven stolen motorcyles from them.
On the receipt of a tip-off, police arrested two people riding a motorcycle in Civil Lines area in North Delhi on Friday when they failed to furnish ownership papers. Enquries revealed the vehicle had been stolen. Based on their interrogation, a third member of the gang was also apprehended with a stolen vehicle, and five more stolen vehicles recovered.
Police said they expected more arrests and recoveries in the case.
A case of robbery in Punjabi Bagh area has been solved with the arrest of two of the criminals, including the woman, who having an acquaintance with the householder, entered the house and facilitated the entry of her two confedrates.
The stolen gold ornaments and mobile phones have also been recovered.
