Udupi, Jan 21 (UNI) Sri Sugunendra Thirtha Swamiji of Udupi. who had ascended Udupi Paryaya peeta recently amidst controversies have chalked out various projects including, setting up of the 'Sri Krishna Nyayalaya' to settle family disputes, during his next two and half years term.
Addressing a first press conference after ascending the Paryaya Peeta on January 18 Sri Sugunendra Theertha informed that he would concentrate on implementing various projects which he had planned in the next two and half years.
Sri Swamiji informed that he has a praposal to take up beautification of the entire Udupi town under 'Sundara Udupi Krishna Udupi' project, on priority basis. Various NGO's and foreign funding agencies have agreed to extend their support for the project. Construction of +Anna Brahma+, the new mass dining hall, Vishwa Yathri Nivas in Udupi and Sri Krishna Nyayalaya for solving family disputes were the other projects planned to take up during his stint as Paryaya chief, he said.
Describing the recent controversies raised over his ascending Paryaya Peeta, Swamiji described it as a closed chapter and informed that all the Yathis including Pejawar Sree have promised to extend their co-operation to him. "The pooja to Lord Krishna, the main diety in the temple complexes in Udupi is being conducted as usual" Swamiji said.
