Hafed records growth in weedicides' sale

Chandigarh, Jan 21: Haryana State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Limited (Hafed) has achieved tremendous growth in its sale figures of weedicides after the announcement of reduction of rates during the current Rabi season.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of Hafed said that growth of more than 200 times in sales figure was recorded in one of its weedicides namely Sulphosulfuron 75 WG and an increase of about 6 times was in Cladinofop-Propargyl 15 WP. Whopping sales figure of 14812 acre dose for Sulphosulfuron 75 WG and 18949 acre dose for Cladinofop-Propargyl 15 WP was recorded by Hafed as compared to the previous year sales of 60 acre dose and 3020 acre dose respectively for these weedicides.

He said that for wheat crop of Rabi, Hafed had recently announced bonanza for the farmers so as to provide them quality products like Sulphosulfuron 75 WG, Cladinofop-Propargyl 15 WP on lowest prices.

Accordingly, the prices of weedicides were reduced by Rs 100 and Rs 80 per acre dose for Cladinofop-Propargly 15 WP and Sulphosulfuron 75 WG respectively, he added.

He said that after the announcement of discount by Hafed, similar decision was followed by other suppliers in the state. This way the farmers of Haryana were immensely benefited besides quality weedicides had also been made available to them by Hafed, he added.
