'Easterlies' cause rise in temperature in AP
Hyderabad, Jan 21 (UNI) Minimum temperature rose in parts of Andhra Pradesh in the last 24 hours, even as dry weather prevailed over Telangana, Rayalaseema and the coastal region.
Indian Meteorological Department spokesman attributed the rise in mercury to ''easterly winds''.
The minimum temperature rose at a few places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, at one or two places over Rayalaseema and changed little over Telangana. It was significantly below normal at a few places over Rayalaseema, below normal at few places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and at one or two places over Telangana.
The lowest minimum temperature of 11 degree Celsius was recorded at Arogyavaram.
Mainly sunny weather is likely to prevail over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Rayalaseema in the next 48 hours. Hyderabad would have mainly clear sky. Minimum temperature is likely to be around 17 degree Celsius.
