New Delhi, Jan 21 (UNI) The police today claimed to have solved the murder case of an Amar Colony guard with the arrest of a man, also working as a private security guard in the area.
Police said during investigation into the murder case of the victim, Ram Prakash who worked as a security guard in the Amar Colony, all other guards employed in the area were questioned.
The police detected some inaccuracies and contradictions in the version given by one Gyan Singh, who had worked as a daytime guard along with the victim who used to be posted on the night shift. They were both employed by the same private security agency.
During interrogation, the accused confessed to the murder, saying the victim used to come late for his night shift due to which he had to work extra hours.
Gyan Singh said he called Ram Prakash for drinks and told him to report for work on time which led to an altercation. The accused claimed that under the influence of alcohol, he crushed the victim's head with a stone.
The murder was reported yesterday morning. The dead body of Ram Prakash was found near the DDA flats in East of Kailash.
